Deletra is dedicated to enriching and empowering lives and communities. Deletra believes that if you enrich and empower the people of the community, you enrich the community. That’s why Deletra created the “Pay It Forward” Program.
WHAT IS THE “PAY IT FORWARD” PROGRAM?
The “Pay It Forward” program is an outreach program where Deletra collaborates with community organizations to educate participants on how to improve their financial positions by increasing their financial knowledge. Outreach happens in the form of mentorships, class instruction, courses, speaking engagements, and more. All at NO COST to the organization.
There is an application process for organizations that desire to be considered for the program collaboration.
Deletra Hudson, LLC awards one “Pay It Forward” session per month to an organization committed to developing the people and the community in which it serves.
PURPOSE FOR THE “PAYING IT FORWARD” PROGRAM
The purpose of the program is to arm the people who participate with knowledge that can be shared with others, to assist with the creation of healthier financial habits and wealthier lives.
Despite our background or community, we all have been blessed with an equal opportunity to seek wealth. Our biggest obstacle with achieving our destined wealth and prosperity is our mindset. If we change our beliefs, we can change our outcome.
WHY DO I “PAY IT FORWARD”?
One of the spiritual laws of success is the “Law of Giving”. There is also a reciprocal relationship created when you start to give; when you start to give, you start to receive. The action of giving starts the circulation process, which can create prosperity and abundance for others and yourself. It is Deletra’s belief in giving that restricts her from placing any limitations on who can participate in the “Pay It Forward” program. Therefore, she pours into the hearts and minds of all, from the youth to seniors.
She possessions a strong passion for educating the youth of communities. It has been proven that the traditional education system does not prepare our youth with proper personal financial management skill to assist them with living a financially successful life. Deletra’s mission includes arming the youth with an arsenal of information to prevent them from making mistakes with their money that handcuff them for the majority of their lives. Deletra’s commitment to the mission is demonstrated in her creation of the “Money Matters” children’s books series that teaches good money habits and money management skills on a relatable level for youth to understand.
March to May Young Entrepreneur 101 Program
March to May Bootcamp is a 10 week Saturday morning program designed for middle and high school students, from any school or town.
Students work with a variety of entrepreneurs to start a venture, figure out how it impacts our local community, and determine how it’s going to make money while driving change.
“Pay It Forward” at the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis is to inspire and enable youth ages 6 to 18 to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
I work with a group of motivated 10-11 years. We discussed dreams, planning for the future, setting goals, and actions.
